Child Therapy

Children don't always have the words to explain what they're feeling. Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, big emotions, behaviour, friendships, school or changes at home, therapy can help us understand what's happening and what they need.

Child Therapy & Play Therapy

Children don't always have the words to explain what they're feeling. Instead, those feelings often show up through behaviour, emotions, worries, sleep, friendships, or changes at home or school. Therapeutic play helps children make sense of those big feelings while learning practical skills they can use at home, at school, and in everyday life. Sessions may include play, games, art, creative activities, and conversation, depending on your child's age, personality, and goals.

Working Together

Every child is different, which means therapy shouldn't look the same for every child. I use developmentally appropriate play, games, art, and creative activities to help children understand their emotions, practise new skills, and build confidence in ways that make sense for their age. While it may look like we're playing, each activity is chosen with a purpose—whether we're learning to manage anxiety, express emotions, solve problems, build self-esteem, or strengthen coping skills. My role is to meet each child where they're at, build a trusting relationship, and help them develop skills they can use long after therapy ends. Parents remain an important part of the process and are included when appropriate to help support progress outside of therapy.
